Food Diaries

Studies from the National Weight Control Registry, the largest investigation of long-term successful weight loss maintenance, show that people who keep food records are more likely to lose and maintain their weight loss. It can help you focus better on what and when you eat, and help to distinguish when you are truly hungry versus snacking for other reasons (i.e. stress, boredom, emotional eating).
